This project is part of a series of public consultation initiatives in which KAST.3 has been involved in Trifylia municipality.
A railway station is not just structures supporting train services, but a multi-layered landscape where historical premises, nature’s spontaneity, traces of social interaction and cultural memory coexist.
KAST.3’s proposal to local stakeholders is a strategy that aims to transform the area to a cultural destination, open both to the local community and visitors. To achieve this, we suggest that the three most powerful socio-economic factors of the Trifylia region merge together: culture, agriculture and tourism. By combining these three elements, a variety of different facilities results. The cultural park becomes an integral part of Kyparissia’s urban fabric, welcoming newcomers and providing opportunities for active interaction with locals.
